Visit Granada at Easter: Snow, Sun and Tradition

Mars 14 2024
Tourisme Grenade
This Easter you can't miss the great snowfall that has recently fallen in Sierra Nevada. If you like thrilling downhill runs, you won't find a more spectacular location than the Sierra Nevada.

But Granada is not only snow, the Easter Week processions in Granada will amaze you with the artistic quality of its sculptures in an incomparable setting, in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

The Procession of Silence will take your breath away as you watch the Cristo de la Misericordia passing along the Paseo de Los Tristes, with the dim lighting of candles, the unique sound of the drums and the dragging chains of the penitents, and in the background, the illuminated Alhambra.

Be moved by the "Procesión de los Gitanos", in Sacromonte, the neighbourhood of the caves where the saetas are sung in a heart-rending way.

Other processions, such as that of the Virgen de la Aurora, make their way through the narrow, twisting streets of the Albaicín, which offers us colourful and traditional images.

And if that wasn't enough, it is spring, the ideal season to visit Granada, with sunny days, pleasant temperatures and the gardens of the Alhambra full of flowers.

And to enjoy this combination of snow, sun and tradition, the best option is to stay at Abades Nevada Palace Hotel 4*, located with easy access to Sierra Nevada and 5 minutes by metro from the Granada city centre. Check out our special offer for skiers.

And if you prefer to stay in the city centre and walk to see the processions, our Abades Recogidas Hotel 4* is located in the central Recogidas Street.

Don't miss the opportunity to live this unique experience that combines snow, sun and tradition in Granada with Abades Hoteles. We are waiting for you to make your getaway an unforgettable memory!
